Re-opening of Our Parishes

Information on New Covid-19 Guidelines

Bishop Lucia is now permitting us to relax some of the precautions we have been taking to combat the pandemic.  Here’s what you need to know:

  • Vaccinated parishioners are no longer required to wear masks or maintain 6 feet of social distance
  • We will no longer be asking parishioners to pre-register to attend Mass or to sign in upon arrival
  • We are removing the ropes from pews and permitting seating throughout the church
  • Parishioners who still wish to wear masks and sit apart are welcome to do so
  • Priests, deacons, and Eucharistic ministers will wear masks when distributing Holy Communion.  We will sanitize our hands after parishioners who receive on the tongue, but they are no longer asked to wait until the end of the line.
  • For the time being, holy water fonts will remain empty.  The handshake for the sign of peace is discouraged.  We will not be offering the Precious Blood for parishioners to receive.
